Bed bugs can stay dormant and without feeding or periods up to a year. Bed Bugs can lay up to 200-500 eggs in their life span and can live for up to 5 years.

These blood suckers are normally a brown or dark red colour. They can grow up to 5mm and can be as small as 2.5MM. They are nocturnal and more likely to come out at night while you sleep, they are attracted to the carbon dioxide that we breathe out.


Signs of Bed Bugs

You may experience small red spots on your arms, legs, back, or neck. It’s not uncommon to have multiple bites in a line. Other signs of bed bugs may be small smears of blood on your bed sheets, or pillow cases, as well as tiny dark spots on the edges of your mattresses, box springs, bed frames and baseboards.
